Forests are cutted down. Animals flee to the city. Human becomes animals. Animals becomes human. Sirens howls. Cities turns into wilderness. Unseen beasts stroll above it at night. They get into our bathrooms, beds and social networks. Holy squares turns into deserts. Worn out camels and ants caravans wanders around. The God of Milky Way landed down to the Earth and summoned all the birds. Mysterious scratches and opera for pandas are heard around. Everything is swallowed by the horizontal abyss. The city and the time are given away to others…in the meantime a tomato grows through a sewage well …

Painters Andrius Miežis, Miglė Kosinskaitė, Linas Liandzbergis, Vladas Mackevičius, Vidmantas Jusionis, Aistis Kavaliauskas, Jonas Jurcikas, Dovilė Bilkštienė and graphic artists Eglė Kuckaitė and Birutė Zokaitytė – ten artists, whose works have been specially selected for this exhibition. Bright and optimistic colors, gentle but bold strokes or cuts, funny and recognizable characters, everyday and relevant stories. The exhibition “Wildlife and the city” is an ironic, entertaining and lively attitude of famous Lithuanian artists towards the environment of our life and our surroundings.
